Why is my home outlet charging so slow?

Charging speed is related to the output power of your home outlet.

If you're using a 120V outlet (e.g., NEMA 5-15 or 5-20), the max charging speed is 1.44 kW(2-5 mph). It's suitable for short commutes and owners with enough time for charging.

How can I speed up my charging?

A. Use the charger's 240V NEMA 6-20 plug – boosts speed to 10-12 mph.

B. Check for existing 240V outlets – if available, buy a NEMA 14-30/10-30/6-50 to 6-20 adapter to connect the charger.

C. Install a dedicated NEMA 6-20 outlet for maximum speed.

Why can't reach 16A with a 6-20 outlet or 12A with a 5-15 outlet?

a. Check if there are current restrictions on the car's onboard system; the charger syncs with these settings (current limits and scheduled charging). b. Check if other device is on the same circuit to prevent automatic reduction of charging current.

Is it safe to charge overnight?

The charger includes safety features such as leakage and overheating protection, along with IP66 waterproof, ideal for unsupervised overnight charging. Its charging cable runs 10°F cooler than a 40A charger.Remember: Secure plug-to-socket connection.
